A garden party in Feltham, a Spiderman afternoon at Langley Vale Village Hall, and a three-theme party in Thatcham.
The weekend opened with a garden party in Feltham, and the weather held for it. Pink and white balloons wound up through foliage by the back door, a run of paving and gravel for the tables, and the grass at the far end taken up by the inflatable. Small crowd, all girls, and they were straight into the dancing — musical chairs did the rest. Two cakes, and both of them went down a treat before the end.
Langley Vale Village Hall next, for a Spiderman party. It is a lovely room, with curved timber arches in the roof, a stage at one end and is perfect for a party of 20-30 children . The kitchen is a galley shape running off the hall, which suits plating up in advance and carrying it through. No magic at this one, but pass the parcel and musical bumps went down well.
Thatcham Catholic Club finished the weekend, and this one had three themes in it — a unicorn table, a Pokemon table and a monster truck table, all in a row along the wall. The mini crowns were the thing that stuck. Mainly fives, very busy with it, and the bubbles set them off properly. The hall is a wide open wooden floor with a low stage, and there is a serving hatch straight through to the kitchen, which saves a lot of walking when the food goes out.
Parties from £175, anywhere across Surrey and West Kent, run by Mark himself. Checking a date is free and takes about a minute.
