A neon glow disco in Watford, a joint birthday in Chesham, and a Pokémon disco in Hullbridge on the Sunday.
Three parties across the weekend.
Saturday lunchtime I was at Fullerians RFC in Watford for Tiana's birthday, a neon glow disco with the neon row switched on and about eighteen of them on the floor. The backdrop was a pink and black Happy Birthday banner covered in disco balls, microphones and music notes, which suited the afternoon perfectly.
From there it was up the road to Bellingdon and Asheridge Village Hall near Chesham for a joint 7th and 8th, thirty guests. One balloon arch covered both birthdays, a black 7 at one end and a rainbow 8 at the other, over a gold tinsel curtain. Karaoke was on the plan, but in the end we kept it to the music.
Sunday was Hullbridge Community Centre in Essex for Dexter's birthday, a Pokémon disco for thirty guests. The theme ran through everything: a Pokémon backdrop, Pikachu balloons, and a cake with Ash, Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur on top.
Parties from £175, anywhere across Surrey and West Kent, run by Mark himself. Checking a date is free and takes about a minute.
