The XL Lightshow

£50 per party

Nearly three times the lighting: the standard rig runs four light effects, the XL runs eleven. It adds a cluster laser (the one that fills the whole ceiling with beams), two moving heads that sweep the room, two extra par cans and two more derbies, so the light comes from every angle. The haze machine is optional and free either way, and it's what makes the beams show in the air. It's the upgrade most people take once they've seen them.

The Glow Pack

Neon face and body paint, glow glasses and a foam glow baton each. It's all handed out on the day, and every child takes theirs home at the end. There's nothing for you to source, and nothing to hand round at the door. Under the UV the paint and the batons light up, and the glasses end up in every photo.

A bouncy castle

A mini bouncy castle with a slide, set up alongside the party for when they need somewhere to burn off the rest of it. It measures 4.88m long × 2.23m wide × 2.2m high (16ft × 7ft 4in × 7ft 3in). It's worth checking the height against your ceiling if it's going indoors, as that's the one that catches people out. It needs a flat bit of ground and a socket, indoors or out, and it works with any party type. Mark sets it up and packs it away, and our public liability insurance covers its use, which plenty of venues ask about before they'll allow one.

Karaoke

Microphones and the lyrics up on screen, so the birthday child and their friends can take turns on the mic while the whole room sings along. It goes down best with 10 to 13 year olds, who know every word and love an audience, and it works for any child old enough to read the lyrics.

A mini magic show

Free

Magic tricks dotted between the games, where the room goes quiet for a moment and then very loud. It goes down best with 3 to 7 year olds, who still can't work out how it's done. Free, and yours if you want it: tick it on the form, or mention it any time before the day, and drop it just as easily.

Bubble machine

Free

Running through the games, and the little ones love them. They come with every party at no extra cost.

Haze machine

Free

What makes the beams visible: a little haze in the air lets you see the light travel right across the room. It's optional and free.

Foam machine

Free

A floor full of foam, which the older ones go mad for. It needs a floor that can take a little damp, so it is worth a word with the venue first.
