Common questions

Does the room need to be dark?

It works far better dark. UV and lasers barely show in bright daylight, so a room with blinds or curtains, or a later slot, makes a big difference. Tell us about your venue and we'll advise.

Do you do glow discos for 11 to 13 year olds?

Yes. It's the same lightshow for the older ones, with dance-offs and music requests on the night. Evenings suit it best, Friday nights included. See glow discos for 11–13s

What's the XL Lightshow?

Nearly three times the lighting: the standard rig runs four light effects, the XL runs eleven. It adds a cluster laser (the one that fills the whole ceiling with beams), two moving heads that sweep the room, two extra par cans and two more derbies, so the light comes from every angle. The haze machine is optional and free either way, and it's what makes the beams show in the air, so every lightshow photo on this site was taken with it running, and you can decide on the day. The XL is the upgrade most people take once they've seen them.
